Taste the Rainbow (2?)

Pasta (seperate container of sauce), baby carrots, strawberries, grapes, broccoli, almonds to put in chocolate pudding dessert

On a side note, my Chemistry teacher read The Lorax today in class in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday/Read Across America day (he planned to do it yesterday, the actual day, but was absent). I wish all of our lessons were that easy.... :)

Omnomnom.

Strawberries and grapes, cup of pears, lettuce divider, tortilla strips, fried rice (with peas, carrots, broccol, onions) and half a baked egg roll...someone else ate the other half this morning when I wasn't looking! O.0

Taste the Rainbow!

Tamago-what?

Not gonna lie - I almost threw my phone across the room when the alarm went off this morning. Instead of lashing out at it, however, I just went back to sleep...thus the lack of time for a lunch, but not for a decent breakfast!
I made a little two-egg tamagoyaki (doesn't turn out as nice with one egg, but I don't think I can eat two all the time) and took a navel orange for a snack.

Snicker All You Want

Apple, baby carrots, leftover cheese pizza cut into fork-able pieces, salad, almost, and a snickers for dessert :)

everything but the kitchen sink?

Contents: 'baby carrots' (found the two giants on the left in our newest bag of baby carrots...I think maybe they're mom&dad carrots instead), salad with last part of the egg roll, tortilla strips, celery, almonds, broccoli, and French dressing. Sugar free chocolate pudding for dessert.

Ahhh!

Going back to school after a five day weekend (the fifth day being an unplanned snow day) is not fun. What is fun? Lunch.

Contents: Salad underneath Red Beet eggs and part of a veggie egg roll we discovered at the grocery store (pack of 5 to bake), a layer of leftover mac&cheese, a cup of pears. Soup on the side in a thermos.

Question: is it just my thermos, or is there a trick to keeping things warm inside? (Or are my expectations too high?)

Comfort Food

Today was one of those days when Comfort Food was a must.

So I turned to the old stand-by, macaroni and cheese (only with penne pasta instead of elbow macaroni). My version of Mac&cheese includes just about everything we have stocked in the kitchen... ;)

Leftovers will be eaten either this week or frozen for later lunches (so this is sort of on topic).

I like that Mac&Cheese can still be colorful!

(lazy, non-bento lunch)

Strawberries in tapioca pudding, oriental noodles with 'chinese-style' bagged veggies, goldfish for a morning snack, and carrots.

Most of the time, my snack is included in the pictures of my lunch, because I stick it in my lunch box until I get hungry - I eat breakfast at 7, and don't eat lunch until 12:45.

Shh, we're not technically allowed to eat anywhere but the cafeteria...is it okay for me to make an exception?

Not my best attempt!

I am quite obviously out of practice...O.o
Contents: breakfast 'pizza' (Pillsbury crescents with egg, cheese, hash brown on top - didn't have any good fresh veggies to put on top, maybe next time), grapes, carrots, goldfish, thin mints and licorice leftover from V-day.

The licorice I gave to my friends, because I remembered that I don't particularly like it, and I still ended up bringing home two strands of it.

Next goal: close those gaps with healthier foods.
