It's one of those days.

It's one of those days where you keep trying to talk to your Chinese teacher in French, but then you can't remember how to say anything in French 3. Pre-calculus makes no sense, Chemistry is frustrating, and Global Studies makes you want to pull your hair out. (Thank you for teaching me what a mountain is in a 10th grade college prep class, I had forgotten they were pointy.)

deep breaths.... :}

Needless to say, lunch was a welcome distraction.

Turkey sandwiches with little heart cookies on top (cut like that, scraps went into my dad's mouth), carrot sticks, red beet egg, grapes, pasta salad from the grocery store.

Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

Speaking of tomorrow - hey, this is my What's for lunch Wednesday post :) Check out all the others here!

  1. At least with lunches like these, you know that you made them specially for yourself! I wanted to know if you bought your beet eggs from a store somewhere or if they were just normal eggs dyed with beet juice..and if they really tasted like beets.

  2. Hi Laura! What a great bento! Sorry about your frustrating day. A good lunch is nice to look forward to when you are having a tough time. And good news: you're that much closer to Friday. :)

  3. Lizard - I used to get them from the local market, but now I just get half a dozen at the grocery store every week. I've never had an actual beet, but I've been assured they aren't exactly the same taste, since there are usually other ingredients added to make the eggs.

    And I agree, knowing that I have a great lunch waiting for me definitely DOES make everything better :)
